University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB) is currently seeking/multiple/Research Project Coordinatorsto join Division of Transplant Surgery. Under limited supervision, the selected candidate is responsible for coordinating a series of research protocols within the division of Transplant Surgery. Coordinates data maintenance, grant expenditure adherence, project evaluation, meeting scheduling, and research subject interfacing. Serves as a point of contact for study participants and clinical support personnel. Adheres to good clinical practices, study protocols, and applicable regulations.
This is a FULL-TIME, CONTRACTUAL position

Coordinates and communicates directly with the Principle Investigator, study participants, and sponsors to initiate and manage research studies and protocols, including initiation of study protocols, IRB, and grants and contracts
Recruits, screens, and evaluates participants. Develops recruitment streams and advises participants of risks and benefits and secures informed consent
Monitors activities to ensure compliance with protocols and all relevant local, federal, and state regulatory and institutional policies. Files forms for Human or Animal protection, the Office of Research and Development, or other campus entities.
Leads the collection and management of study or trial data. Tracks, reports, and audits study data and regulatory study documentation. May assist with data analysis/
Assists in developing protocol manuals and data collection instruments.
Develop and produce reports of study data. May have a role in publications or grant applications
Obtains tissue and blood samples as necessary and collects information through interviews, questionnaires, test results, and charts.
Performs other related duties as assigned./percentage performed Other duties as assigned.
Education:Bachelor’s degree in nursing, chemistry, biology, public health, or another scientific discipline appropriate to position required.
Experience:Prior experience in clinical or laboratory research is preferred. OR Consideration may be given for a unique combination of education and experience.
Hiring Range:Low to mid $40K - Commensurate with education and experience
