AnaVation is looking for an engineer with Solr experience to take on O&M for of an existing large Solr index for a highly successful legacy system.

Required skills:

Experience working with Apache Solr

3+ years working with Java

1+ year working with a database technology such as Oracle, MySql, etc.

2+ years of experience enhancing and maintaining production applications

1+ year working with Maven

1+ years developing ETL applications

2+ years writing and maintaining Linux Bash scripts

2+ years working on a Linux platform

Experience with utilizing either SVN or Git for version control

Experience working in Scrum or Kanban methodologies

Excellent communication skills

Proven ability to work in a highly collaborative environment

Must be a self-starter

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems

Top Secret Clearance

Desired skills:

Experience implementing Solr full builds and partial updates

Experience working with AWS

Experience working with Apache Zookeeper

Experience working with Accumulo

Experience working with a MapReduce implementation such as Apache Hadoop

Experience working with Spark and Scala

Experience working with large data structures

Experience in test driven development

CI Polygraph

M.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems
