Job Description: The Systems Administration group is responsible for the administration of a large number of servers and storage devices. The members of this group work to ensure the integration and continued operation of servers and storage system capabilities ensuring highly available systems. The systems administrator is responsible for the setup, configuration and integration of UNIX/Linux based systems. The selected candidate will be responsible for the integration and testing of systems and storage systems into existing operational systems. The Administrator will also be required to perform in depth troubleshooting of system problems. The systems administrator will also be required to determine the root cause of systems issues. Additional tasks will include the generation and maintenance of the documentation of the supported systems as well as documenting procedures to resolve system issues. THIS POSITION REQURES an active TS/SCI clearance with SSBI and a CI POLY . Responsibilities: (Include but not limited to) Communicate with various levels of personnel to promote the exchange of information required for installation and configurations efforts. Foster open communication between team members, and development staff to bring forward ideas on how they can collectively deliver a more effective solution Provide 24x7 On-Call support with rotating coverage. Installation and configuration of new servers and RAID systems for new and existing environments Display integrity and honesty in all that you do Maximizing availability of client's infrastructure through continuous improvement and proactive, preventative maintenance Ensure that all procedures and policies are up to date and are available for use by all members of the team Using scripts and automation, support deployment and maintenance of applications and system settings Recording and taking ownership of issues using the customer provided trouble ticketing system from initiation through successful resolution Conduct deep dive analysis to determine root cause of technical issues Required Knowledge and Skills: Linux (SuSE and RedHat) setup and configuration and problem resolution RAID and SAN setup and configuration and problem resolution Integration of COTS hardware and software as well as custom software systems Advanced knowledge in the administration of complex computer systems. Creative use of technical knowledge to provide solutions for complex problems. Advanced trouble shooting skills to resolve complex issues and root cause analysis CISSP, Security+ or other DoD 8570 Level 2 or Level 3 certification (IAT, IAM) Communication skills to be able to communicate with various levels of personnel Desired Knowledge and Skills: Windows installation, setup and configuration. Administration of group policies, domain controllers, and active directory Previous knowledge and experience working large systems Experience with Raytheon High Availability software. Knowledgeable of working on multi-level classified systems. Ability to work, manage and complete major project objectives with minimal supervision or specific direction. Formal understanding of requirements and methods pertaining to the securing of systems to achieve customer approval for certification and accreditation. Ability to review documentation and systems diagrams in order to setup and configure systems to meet customer requirements. PERL or Shell scripting Minimum Experience and Education: 4 years BS/BA in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or other related fields . . 115678
